Reference project/case study- Healthcare Sector- Large NHS Foundation Trust

Ray Rowlings led a project to design/develop and train internal L&D teams to deliver a management development programme aimed at middle managers. The initial programme ran over 6 months and 5 cohorts and included Train the Trainer sessions. The Trust then took over the delivery of the programme. Ray carried out a development need analysis with the Trust’s senior management team and other key stakeholders and translated organisation objectives and needs into a series of blended learning interventions. As part of the design Ray aligned the programme to National Occupation Standards and Qualification frameworks and the programme had options to recognise the CPD hours and complete an assessment. This resulted in the programme being Validated/Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and led to options for Membership grades and internationally recognised qualifications

Reference project/case study - Third Sector- Membership Organisation/Charity

Ray Rowlings led a project to design/develop/deliver a management development programme aimed at a ‘Talent pool’ of middle managers. This pool were identified as having potential to take on more responsibility in the management/leadership of internal and customer facing projects and programmes. Ray worked with the senior management team to identify knowledge, skills and behaviours required. He then sourced a range of psychometric assessment tools to assess/measure these qualities. Ray then worked with HR/L&D team to design a ‘profile’ template which was then used to benchmark the talent pool against. From this candidates were identified and a blended learning development programme designed and delivered. Again Ray aligned the programme to CMI qualification frameworks and the delegates had an option of completing an assessment, based around a commercially focused business case/project proposal, which would lead to them gaining an internationally recognised qualification.
